Position Type: Temporary, Full-time, Three (3) Month Contract with possibility of becoming a permanent role
Location: Aurora, ON

Summary:

As a member of the production team you will be responsible for the fabrication of parts for the manufacturing of antenna and filter products.  This position requires a large range of skills and is responsible for but not limited to the list below:

Responsibilities:

  • The primary responsibility is welding of aluminum parts
  • Weld and/or braze aluminum parts and other metals.
  • Fabricate parts for antenna and filter systems.
  • Operate machine tools in the fabrication shop such as lathe, milling machine, band saw, bending equipment, etc.
  • Read and interpret assembly and fabrication blue prints to manufacture antenna and filter parts.
  • Able to use shop equipment as required with minimum supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of college level welding courses or equivalent experience, preferably with aluminum welding
  • Completion of welding apprentice program or equivalent an asset
  • Able to read and interpret assembly and fabrication blue prints
  • Must be able to operate fabrication shop machinery

Summary:

In this role, the Logistics Specialist works in a team environment with the principal objective of creating and maintaining an efficient day to day Logistics Service to the customers. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, great record-keeping abilities and customer focus.   A team player who has excellent communication and negotiation skills, also well-versed in supply chain management principles and practices.  The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency. This is a fast-paced job with many variables in which you will be constantly reviewing and working with our Senior Management Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Arrange export and import of shipments by various multimodal transports (Air, Ocean, Road and Rail) to/from various overseas destinations
  • Responsible for compliance with Customs Acts and regulations, Submit CAED Export declarations (B-13) for commercial goods per Customs Act.
  • Provide cost estimates on request to internal end users, for movement of goods to domestic /overseas destinations based upon use of appropriate carrier and modes of transport (Air, Ocean, Road and Rail)
  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments per shipment schedule
  • Interface with Customer, production, Customer Service, Materials & Planning, and suppliers to schedule purchase orders. Identify and react to short term material plans that do not meet customer requirements
  • Identify, analyze, and manage potential and actual issues and risks, take corrective action by tackling day-to-day issues.
  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, support packing for shipping.
  • Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively
  • Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures
  • Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs
  • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
  • Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.
  • Prepare accurate reports for management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in supply chain/business, with a minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics function, relevant industry experience will be preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of incoterm and import/export regulations (e.g. Tariff Classification; Certificate of Origin, Commercial Invoice, B13, etc.) and carrier management.
  • Experience in customer service will be appreciated
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements
  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
  • Skilled in MS office software such as Excel, Word and Outlook etc.
  • Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics and ERP software
  • Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Position Type: Full-Time (6 Month Contract)
Location: Aurora, ON

Summary:

In this role, we are looking for a highly motivated and energetic Junior Mechanical Designer to join our Aurora Division. This position is responsible for the structure and packaging design of new antenna and filter products for use primarily with base station systems, vehicles and handheld devices in public safety and mobile communications systems. In addition to short term deployment driven tasks, you will have the opportunity to develop novel concepts and innovative new designs that satisfy long term antenna product needs of the market and company.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs derivative designs, product performance improvement or cost reduction.
  • Creates product drawings,release documents, specifications, customer manual, manufacturing assembly and test instructions.
  • Operates in a high-performing multi-task environment. Participates with engineering manager and other team members in the analysis of customer or system requirements, design and development of antenna and filter products.
  • Adopts new design technologies and materials for performance improvement or cost reduction.
  • Specifies hardware and material to comply with product specifications, manufacturing requirements and target cost.
  • Documents engineering design by recording engineering design requirements, theory, simulation and test results, material and hours tracking, filling engineering design documents.
  • Explore new design technologies, enhances professional job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging manufacturing technologies and practices.
  • Supports senior engineers to resolve technical problem.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent area of study
  • 2+ years’ industry experience on developing products is required
  • Strong professional experience in mechanical design and product building for high volume and low-cost production
  • Solid understanding of fabrication/manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in Solidworks with 2 years of industry experience is mandatory
  • Experience with Solidworks feature of Reference geometry, Hole wizard, Pattern, Multi-configuration and design table, Swept boss, Assembly mates.
  • Knowledge of drawing views and BOM, dimensioning and tolerance labeling in both imperial and metric system
  • Excellent technical writing skills

Position Type:
Full-Time (6/12 Month Contract)

Summary:

You will be responsible for issuing parts to the manufacturing teams as requested, inventory and other items using the corporate ERP system. Incoming product is to be properly identified and physically stored in proper locations. Manage the physical inventory while keeping the stockroom well organized and clean. Work together with the receiver and also be the backup receiver during vacation times.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
  • Open bales, crates and other containers
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, locations or in bins according to organizational standards
  • Enter receiving and incoming goods into the company ERP system.
  • Follow Sinclair ISO procedures including FIFO stock rotation.
  • Labeling products and items to be received.
  • Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory
  • Perform assigned tasks as required.

Position Type:
Full-Time, Six (6) Month Contract with possibility of becoming a permanent role
Location: Aurora, ON

Summary:

You will be responsible for all aspects of filling and shipping orders as posted in the NAVision system. This includes receipt of all corporate goods, inventory and otherwise, as well managing freight movements and methods of shipping.  Knowledge of customs invoicing and preparing of manual invoices for non-inventory product is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare products for shipment including:
    • Inventory picking,
    • Label printing
    • Boxing, crating, skid preparation, etc.
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Check and count all received goods items unloaded from trucks, or trailers, then check suppliers count and report discrepancies to carrier and to purchasing office.
  • Enter receiving information into ERP system.
  • File receipts.
  • Stage and place product in warehouse.
  • Internal delivery of product, letters, or packages.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, and inventory experience, including resolving shipping and receiving discrepancies
  • Ability to do physical work (bending, lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs)
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout work day
  • Familiarity with pallet jacks; usage of strapping and hand tools
  • Experience using a forklift is an asset
  • Knowledge of ERP systems; NAVision is a plus
  • Experience with FedEx and UPS terminals is an asset
  • Experience with inventory control
  • Experience using MS Word and Excel

Position Type: Permanent, Full Time

Summary:
As a System Design Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing system designs for filter products. This shall include providing technical details and making recommendations for antenna products.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Engineering to prepare custom RF conditioning system designs and pricing for customers.
  • Prepare system designs to meet the needs and requirements for customer specific applications.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers’ technical design teams world-wide.
  • Support customer needs to resolve RF filter and antenna related technical problems.
  • Specify hardware and material costs to comply with customer requirements, specifications, and manufacturing requirements to provide a target price.
  • Document system engineering designs by recording the Visio – suggested electrical and mechanical system layout design incorporating it into a Microsoft Word document. Provide technical specifications to illustrate the features of the design that meet the customer needs or requirements.
  • Provide time tracking information in order to calculate engineering cost.
  • Provide weekly customer design and support status reports.
  • Provide input to the product engineering group for development of our product roadmap and technical support for market launches of new products, and conduct market research as part of discussions with customers’ technical staff.
  • Assist Sales, Engineering, Customer Service Representatives, and Quality departments with technical support for customers.
  • Operate in a high-performing multi-task environment. Participate with Systems Engineering manager and other team members in the analysis of customer antenna and filter system requirements, design and development of all products.
  • Support the production team by translating system design proposals into actual system component requirements for final implementations.
  • Ability to travel (up to 25%) internationally and within North America.
  • Meet with customers, provide consulting advise needed to resolve operational issues, and assist them at system installations and modifications to existing/new systems in the field, working in an outdoor environment may be required.
  • Support in identifying market opportunities that can be advantageous for our company
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A technical degree along with Land Mobile Radio LMR experience is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Visio is required.
  • An amateur radio license is a plus.
