Sinclair Technologies launch a new line of heated
Yagis
LAS VEGAS – IWCE (Booth # 6025) - March 26th, 2007 – Sinclair Technologies Inc.,
a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-quality base station and
mobile antennas, filters, receiver multicouplers, transmitter combiners and
customized antenna systems for public and private wireless networks, announces
the introduction of a new line of heated yagis.
Product Specifications:
The new line of heated yagis utilizes an innovative design to provide maximum
performance and reliability under the toughest weather conditions. The heating
mechanism that is utilized can be applied to all of the SY206 antennas. The main
reason for utilizing a heated antenna is to prevent rime ice from forming on the
antenna surface which can degrade performance. The temperature is automatically
maintained to between +2 and +5 oC. This is achieved by comparing the surface
temperature of the antenna to the temperature of the heating unit. This self
regulating ability makes it energy efficient since it does not need to draw
current all the time, only when the temperature of the antenna is not within the
specified range. The heating system will operate at optimum performance down to
-15 oC. and is also available in a black anodized surface finish which also
helps to de-ice the antenna.
