This paper is designed to help RF Engineers involve in the design of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) to understand the effect of using tappers and/or directional couplers in their design. In this paper, we will discuss tappers and directional couplers, including how they work. We will also present the impact of using one versus the other in the system design.
