Mr. Er has been with Sinclair since July 2016 and has demonstrated strong technical leadership across R&D, engineering, product design, and quality, along with excellent general management skills both internally and in collaboration with customers, suppliers, and the corporate team. Prior to joining Sinclair, he served as R&D Director at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and previously spent 18 years with Motorola Asia Pacific in senior engineering and technical sales roles of increasing responsibility. Mr. Er holds an Executive MBA from Nanyang Technological University, a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta.

Dr. Amiee Chan has over 15 years of experience in executive leadership and R&D within the telecommunications industry. As CEO of Norsat since 2006, her strategic vision has driven innovative product development and sustained revenue growth. She is the recipient of multiple accolades, including a Women’s Executive Network Top 100 Award and a BC Export Award for Advancing Technology & Innovation. Dr. Chan holds an Executive MBA from Simon Fraser University and a PhD in Satellite Communications from the University of British Columbia. An accomplished engineer, she has authored over a dozen publications, holds three U.S. patents, and has contributed to advanced research programs including NASA’s ACTS Terminal Program. She also serves on UBC’s Engineering Advisory Council and SFU Beedie School of Business Dean’s External Advisory Board.

Mr. Chin rejoined Norsat in 2011, bringing over 16 years of experience in public practice and public company environments. Since leaving public practice in 2002, he has held senior financial leadership roles with several international organizations, overseeing financial reporting, corporate accounting and tax, communications, and corporate development strategy. He previously served as Norsat’s Corporate Controller from 2002 to 2005 and, prior to rejoining the company, held senior finance positions primarily in the high-technology sector, including roles at DDS Wireless International Inc., Ascalade Communications Inc., and the Canadian Tourism Commission. Mr. Chin began his career in Big Four public practice with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte, most recently as a Manager in Deloitte’s assurance practice. He is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia.
