Article: Sinclair’s New Product Launches for the Public Safety Industry – A Grand Success at APCO Canada 2019

The latest industry trends, challenges and questions within the Canadian public safety communications market were discussed at the APCO Canada Conference and trade show held at Halifax Convention Center, Nova Scotia, November 3-6. Leading experts, professional speakers and colleagues representing public safety communications agencies across Canada were in attendance to take in the country’s premier industry event. Public Safety is one of the main reasons that Sinclair Technologies continues to work hard to make sure that we supply the best and most reliable antennas and RF signal conditioning products. Having the chance to listen to first responders and understand their needs is always very helpful.

Sinclair Technologies launched the next-generation EXCELSIOR™ whip antennas and MD Mobile Duplexers for public safety applications at APCO Canada 2019. The newly launched products received heightened interest from booth visitors. Lots of customers showed their interest in the IntelliTUNE Auto-tunable Combiner and found the live demo conducted by the Sinclair sales team extremely useful for their applications.

During the show, traffic was heavy, and Sinclair interacted with a large number of stakeholders and clients in the public safety industry and had great conversations with them regarding next-gen solutions. They impressed with Sinclair’s Aurora SC collinear antenna because of tower loading,  it’s low noise characteristics, rugged construction and the fact that it was so wide banded. This next-generation series is ideal for all public safety applications as it offers reliability, durability, and easy installation in a lightweight and compact package. The Sinclair team explained the superiority of Sinclair’s Transport Antenna Solutions and TRANSeon SM601 specifically, as it has a great potential in the public safety environment and the fact that it is easy-to-install was highly preferred by clients.

Sinclair has been a long-time supporter of this event, and this year was no different. We also had a plethora of products on display, including a selection of our antennas, transmitter combiners, filters and multi couplers. Conversations about programs, technology, new initiatives and the strategic direction of the public safety market in Canada were held with current customers, partners and new contacts. It was great to connect with many of our partners throughout this event and show them the new Sinclair Product Portfolio.

During the two-day conference, there were educational sessions on topics such as the Communications Centres and Crisis Negotiations for Telecommunicators. Sinclair looks forward to participating in APCO Canada 2020 to lead the way for new end-user markets, public safety solutions and antenna products.
